So we wanted breakfast and it was later on the day and by chance we were going to be passing here and hadn't gotten to try it yet. I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness inside and out. The decor and style were very cute and well done. Very clean overall. The service was very good. The food was delicious and well done, flavorful. Highly recommend to locals and visitors!

The service and decor were the best, the food was ok too, just the soda was a little pricey.

I stopped at this diner at the recommendation by one of the locals. When I arrived at this 50's theme diner, I was not upset. They had an old hot rod outside in the parking lot. The inside looked like a throwback to Happy Days. I was seated instantly and got a little excited when I saw they served biscuits n gravy. I usually have to travel south before I see that on a menu. I opted for the country style, which included a sausage patty on top of the biscuit. It was a heart attack waiting to happen, but I enjoyed every bite. The biscuits were soft and fluffy. The gravy did not disappoint. The coffee was bold and tasty. Overall it was a pleasurable experience. I will be back

Pros: -Serve breakfast until 1pm -Quick, friendly service -Omelet was fluffy, fresh veggies in omelet Cons: -Food wasn't great overall. Home fries look and taste like they were store bought/frozen.

Diner food is supposed to be good, so when I came across this diner on my way home from a trip to maine I was looking forward to it. I was happy to hear our waittress say that the burgers are always fresh and never frozen, so i ordered one and guess what.. there's no way that patty was not previously frozen. Our french fries also were a freezer favorite and the mashed potatoes came from a box. The food is as fake as the rocket ship on the sign, go anywhere else for diner food.

Well, it's been almost two years since I've stepped foot inside blast from the past. I decided to give then the second try. That was a huge mistake, walked in with my three-year-old son & was seated almost immediately, I thought to myself, good. Then we SAT there, and SAT there, and SAT there. 15 minutes later I gathered my belongings and my son and said I just remembered why I don't ever come here anymore. I will never step foot in that building again so long as I Live. It's important to note that we did witness other tables receiving faster service but for some reason we were completely forgotten about.

I stopped by here for some late breakfast with a friend of mine while spending the weekend in Maine. There weren't too many options to choose from, but this is where we ended up. I think that Blast from the Past merits 3 stars because our waiter was so nice. If she hadn't delivered great service, this place would be getting 2 stars from me. The food is sub par. I ordered an omelette with homefries. The homefries were straight from some packaged source... in a bad way. Way too dry and lacking of any flavor. The omelette was aright; nothing I would write home about or come back for. Fun place though! They definitely take it to the next level with the retro 50's theme, and I can appreciate that.

The atmosphere was cute and really fit the theme of the diner. However, the service and food were hardly even mediocre. The coffee was burnt, the food lacked flavor and was cold. We were also told our stroller was a fire hazard and we needed to put our 2 month old baby in the high chair. Sorry little waitress but she can't sit up and our car seat down now fit. There is no law about strollers and we were upset. The last thing is the table smelled of mildew probably from the waitstaff wiping the tables off with a dirty/ mold rag. GROSS! I would not recommend this place!

It's a fun, very basic 60's style diner. The service is friendly and the food is average. Fun place to take the kids, don't expect too much. The prices are low.

I'd go here if it were the last resort. It's your typical diner, yet the food is meh. Service is interesting, to say the least. I think many people go here because of the convenience in location. If you do not know the area, try Lo N Shells over this!

My dad suggested this place and his taste in food is usually bad. So I was not expecting a great meal. It is also in Waterboro, Maine. I am trying to not be mean but a someone who regularly dines out in Boston on Saturday nights this place was not my cup of tea. Regardless when my cousin asked how it was I said edible. Yep, edible. It is not good, not a horrible meal and it was edible. We started with two appetizers Onion Rings: Way too much batter and burned ( Don't get these) Potato skins: The best thing I ate here. They have ten meals for under 7 bucks. Then I realized why my dad loves this place. These where all seven dollars. The fiance ordered chicken parm: He said it was not great but for 7 bucks it was better then he was predicting. It came with garlic bread, ziti and corn. His main complaint is there was hardly any sauce. The chicken was obviously a frozen breaded cutlet. I ordered the fish and chips. The fries where burned ( these people seriously need to learn how to fry things). The fish was baked maybe? It was in heavy breading and I ate maybe a quarter of it. My mom had pot roast. It looked gross. She liked it but this is also the woman who fed me crunchy spaghetti as a child. My cousin had a burger. I tried a bite and it was decent. A little over done but not horrible. My dad had chicken pot pie which was mostly peas and the gravy tasted odd. They have beer, wine and diner drinks such as root bear floats and pink lemonade. The decor is very shiny and tacky. The bathrooms where dirty. At 7:30 we where kind of being forced out so they could close at 8 PM. Oh Maine restaurants I think it is so cute you think 8 PM is late. If I had to do it over again I would have just gone to Vandy's and got some jalapeno poppers to relive high school. After all if I am going to eat lots of fried food at least Vandy's knows what they are doing.

1Star is too many for this place! The food is terrible. The 50's retro thing is cool as are the summer car shows. However, this is probably the worst food I've ever had. I will not be returning to eat.

Loved the diner itself. The food, however, was bland. Very bland. I would not return to dine. Service was fine.

I hate to be the first to review this with 2 stars, but it needs to be said. I had an omelete here that was made from egg-substitute at step-above-diner prices. If you are going to look like a diner and serve food like a diner, i expect prices to be like a diner (and Blast was maybe 25-30% more than I was expecting). Also, I've never been to a diner that didn't make my omelette with real eggs. Even McDonalds is now crackin' eggs the old fashioned way for it's sandwiches, right? There's always a wait when I come here, and the servers rush me in and out to turn over tables. I understand you're busy, servers, but the experience lacks a bit when I feel like i'm being willed from afar to choke down my pancakes so you can turn the table. If I give you the equivalent of my tip plus the tip of the party after me, will you let me sit and enjoy my coffee? Not a fan of the decor, either, with all the faux-chrome-y ness - it looks too theme-y and less authentic than I think they're going for. would I come back? Yes, if someone suggested it. However, perhaps I will start to come earlier (too bad they're not open at 5am) to ensure a more leisurely meal. For my money, though, i'd rather make breakfast at home.

Realistically Blast from the Past is 3.5, not a 4, but I can't see it having a 2 on Yelp because of only 2 reviews! I had breakfast around noon on a Monday morning and the service from Linda was excellent - it has been a long time since I received that level of service! Cons: Bacon sucked, maybe something they microwaved, thin and flimsy. Small coffee cups even though top-offs and refills are free. One of the other reviews is accurate in that the super sampler I got for breakfast and paid $8.59 for should have been $6.59 and coffee at $2.09 (free refills or not) seemed a little high. However, here are the pros: eggs cooked perfectly as requested (over medium, egg white firm but yolk runny for the toast). The French toast was also cooked perfectly with no burning and no super "eggy" taste - it would have been even better if I had not waited until the end of the meal as it was getting on the cold side by then. Overall a solid breakfast experience that, while not among my favorites, I wouldn't have any reservations about going to again even without having someone else suggest it.
